End of the Global Domains International? Well at least it is for me. After years of being a supporter why the change? Because I believe this company like thousands in the U.S.A. is going to be killed by Government red tape. Even though I still have enough members to cover my costs, I realized the writing is on the wall. I don't want to give a copy of photo I.D. and fill in United States Tax forms. I joined GDI originally because it was hassle free, now that you have to fill in several tax and legal forms I no longer want to be an affiliate. To all my down line members over the years I thank you. As I refuse to fill out these legal forms I won't even get the last of the money owed to me - which is bad on Global Domains International because that it not our original contract. With Social Media, Free Blogs and even free websites and email addresses I don't think GDI offers anything new and the value for money has now been lost.

SAY NO TO BIG GOVERNMENT.

I will leave this blog up as a permanent record.

I'm still working on redeveloping my Global Domains International site making the most of having no limit on pages other than on the MB usage such pages create. I'm thinking I will generate a number of pages each one devoted to a clickbank product and lift my affiliate income and making the most out of being a GDI member. New Site builder - Global Domains International Continues to grow

Global Domains International creating a storm with their new site builder and not everyone's happy. Most people don't like change, but I LOVE the new site builder. You are able now to import widgets to your webpages, and you are no longer limited to ten pages. The new site builder allows greater flexibility. I'm hoping for a bunch of new templates, but their not there yet as with any new computer program a few bugs get ironed out. The result will be even better GDI websites available for the masses.

For the average person Global Domains International represents simply the easiest to get their own domain name and website. It means I'll have to re-write my GDI help ebook, but I'll wait a couple of months to playing with the new site builder to give as much advice and tips as I can.

This month has been a good month with Global Domains International with some frontline growth, but more importantly there has been growth on the third and fourth level. I not surprised that people who want to cancel their Global Domains International account don't know how. This tells me a lot about such a person - that they can't even be bothered enough to go into the back office of their GDI account and read the information there - no wonder they are not successful.

Because I don't want to earn money off people who don't either use the product (and there are those who have no interest in sponsoring but just want an easy to build website, domain name and emails) or are unable to sponsor (either because they are don't market, don't follow advice, or some other reason) here is how to CANCEL

I love my online business. I'm starting to receive multiple streams of income that I'm reinvesting to get my business growing even further. Remember its important to set goals for yourself to keep you motivated in growing your Global Domains International team. Because I things I've set up before - articles on Global Domains International, this blog and other marketing efforts I continue to have new sign ups every month. If your Global Domains International hit logs are not spinning and have at least 50 visitors each week then you are not going to get sign ups. The hit logs are a representation of how well your GDI marketing campaigns are going.

One way I market is via bulk mailers. To get the most out of a bulk mailer - buy a paid version - you get better response rate because the members are serious and willing to spend money online, use it every single day, and finally use the HTML features to create emails that are more likely to be read and acted on.

My favorite bulk mailer is blast4traffic, because you pay once and have it for life. It has a heap of bonus features as well, including a place to put your banners.

If your still getting no hits to your logs can I suggest one more program. Linkscout. Get the associate membership and you then get 10000 credits to promote your online activities. Add your GDI banner to the rotator and assign some credits to it. It will show up on the Linkscout network and your Global Domains International banners will show up all over the place. Also put into "my websites" a link to your GDI business and assign some more credits picking some keywords, like MLM, home based business and make money online, etc. You will start to get your hit logs moving - and moving hit logs mean greater likelihood of sign ups.

Despite moving house and all the dramas that brings I still have four sign up for March. Work hard for six months and Global Domains International will keep paying out month after month. But why not have multiple sources of online income? At least please don't waste your website and domain name. GDI provides you hosting - so use it. I had a growth of six in my downline for February - not too bad seeming I was having a lazy month (I'll need to give myself a kick in the pants to get working).

Quiet Month with GDI

Every business has busy times and quiet times. This has been a quiet time this month.
I've been a little busy with my other online activities. This includes my article directory - article-gems.com which is slowly starting to generate a nice adsense income.

Another good thing about AG is that it gives me a place to run my banners - for GDI, Clickbank and the like and give an opportunity to earn additional affiliate income.
I use linkscout's associate feature which has a banner rotator and allows you to upload as many banners as you like. Linkscout is also a way to generate traffic for any website.

2008 is Great and 8 must be the number because that's how many people I've had so far sign up in January. I'm still looking for a good software program - I tried sendblaster, but it didn't work as advertised and I couldn't send out bulk mail to email lists. They did refund my money though (75 EUROS) without complaint and so I don't give them a total bad rap. the program just obviously wouldn't work with my mail server. I suddenly had spare advertising money so I decided to go crazy and do all the ezine ads I did last year, etc. So I clicked on all the banners to ezines you see below in the previous blog posts and send out a whole bunch of ads. People should be over the Christmas holidays by now and looking at what they are going to do this year. With the stock market reaching its current limit and a recession on the way alot of people are realizing that they need other sources of income or a home based business. This is where Global Domains International is THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY - at $10 US a month - it isn't going to break anyone's bank balance and the product is worth that much. The email provision alone is worth that and is perhaps one of the most under utilized benefits of joining GDI. With the ability to create up to 10 email addresses you have the basis of an online email marketing empire. Alot of email marketers want let you sign up any more with free email - like .gmail, etc but I've never had a problem with my GDI emails. I've had my down line grow by 15 for the month. Success with Global Domains International relies on you treating it like a business. Have a marketing budget and follow good habits every day - sending out invites, bulk mailers, etc. I can not stress this enough. If you are not having success with Global Domains International I'm about to tell you the SHOCKING TRUTH - it is YOUR fault. In this age where so many people fail to take personal responsibility many jumped from program to program until they say - MLM sucks and does not work - nothing could be further from the truth. The problem is they have failed to learn that with network marketing - a little success on a weekly and monthly basis will pay huge dividends over the years and build them that dream lifestyle that everyone seeks.

November rocks with Global Domains International

November continues to be a great month for growth with Global Domains International - mainly thanks to my down line rather than me.

I send out a few emails to people when they join up with GDI explaining internet marketing and how to build Global Domains International and building their own GDI site with the site builder. However people always ask for more. I was thinking of producing a ebook or similar to help people starting out in GDI. However I don't have to do this anymore thanks to a great program that helps to build any MLM or network marketing program - and best of all its FREE.

As part of growing my business I'm reinvesting most of the recurring monthly income back into the business via internet advertising.

I predict over the next year I will see my second level become my biggest, then my third, fourth, and then fifth as the power of the network marketing plan reverses the current shape of my down line.

I want to start this month by thanking my down line, especially the workers who have started off November with a bang of sign ups. That's the power of Global Domains International. Each new person you sign up can increase your business, at times doubling it for you in a short space of time. That is why it is important that you not give up after just a couple of months, or before giving Global Domains International a serious go. I've found that over time I've got better at what I do and found real workers in my down line who help me as much as I help them. This is the power of TEAMWORK. Remember you might only be one sign up from unleashing a gold mine. So stop sitting there - get working and sponsoring!

Remember with Global Domains International that if you sign up 5 people in the space of a week you get a bonus of $100. Sign up 10 and you get $200, 15 $300, etc. Some people have found that with the right type of advertising that this bonus money not only pays for the cost of the advertising and leaves extra for another advertising campaign or for some nice extra cash. Early Christmas present with Global Domains International

October has been a quieter month than September with only 4 front line sign ups. I put this down to two main reasons. I had to totally rebuild my laptop meaning I had time off line and away from building my Global Domains International business and second because I went on a short holiday to visit the in-laws meaning more time off line. Despite this I've been thinking for a while how to motivate quiet members in my down line. Realizing that part of being successful with Global Domains International (GDI) also carries with it responsibility, I thought I should give away a couple of my front line sign ups to others I have sponsored and who have been with me for some time. So I gave some an early Christmas present and gave away a front line member. This is a sacrifice on my part because it means I will miss out on the fifth levels of those people, but I felt impressed to do it anyhow to help those who have helped me. Plus I wanted to see how it worked so I could share with you how easy it is. In the first week while someone is in the 7 day free trial period is the only time you can do this. I worried that if I did it I might anger some people - after all they were signing up under me so expected me to be there direct sponsor which held me back from trying it before now. Despite this I gave it a go knowing that it is easy in Global Domains International to contact your upline. In fact I communicate with Marty Orcutt, who is way up in my up line, more than I do with my direct sponsor.

Remember when you sign up with GDI you don't just have one sponsor, in reality you have 5 levels above you. If you are not happy with the advice from you direct sponsor, just keep going up the upline until you find someone who can mentor you. Click on the upline tab in the back office and you will have their contact email addresses. This makes sense. You are never going to get on with 100% of people and you are going to make a better team with certain personalities. So remember with GDI you have 5 'sponsors' not just one. Feel free to get help from anyone of them - or even all of them.

To shift someone in the first 7 days you click on the move button (easiest through the email telling you of a new sign up) - then step one - click on the person you want to move, step two - click on the person you want to shift them to, step three - click on the confirm button. Takes about 20 seconds.

The hardest thing in GDI is to learn to sponsor. Once you can sponsor one person you can sponsor a thousand. It is just a matter of time and effort. If you find something that works for you - REPEAT IT - again and again. Once you get to a good size - 50 people in your down line - you have a monthly budget of $50 to spend on marketing your GDI business. If you are spending $50 a month - you will have a good growth in your front line. If you wonder where a good place to start is particularly with online advertising - try two bucks an ad - it got my hit logs spinning.

Looking for a unique Christmas present for a teenager. Why not buy them a website and teach them to grow their own income? Well this has just been an explosive month for Global Domains International. I saw it pushed into the fourth level and I was excited. Now it is in the fifth level - and I'm lost for words. I've achieved one of the goals I've set myself - Five levels of Global Domains International down line members. One to have a full organization and two to see my down line sponsoring as well. Now my goal is to widen the size of my organization. There is no limit to how many people you can sponsor in your front line - so if you want a huge income each and every month you just need to keep increasing the width of your organization by building your first level.

In fact this month I've had a private race between my down line and myself who was going to sponsor more sign ups. I'm being beaten, my 8 sign ups to their 9 (17 for the month and there is still another 5 days - I'm aiming for 20 - UPDATE: I signed up another one, but so have they - for 9 & 10 with 2 days to go). This is probably the last month where I have a realistic chance of beating my down line in terms of sign ups. This is one battle I'm very happy to lose. To all my down line members who are working hard, well done and my congratulations. I know my start path with Global Domains International was not an easy one at first. My first two sign ups left after taking the free trial and I had month's of nothing happening (my fault I wasn't really doing anything). But I stuck with it and I'm now being rewarded. 3in7 does not have my endorsement - why not? People think what a great way to start in Global Domains International with 3 people promised in your down line within 7 days. A good sponsor is worth far more than $10 dollars i.e. your first month paid for free. 10 Global Domains International sign ups in half a month

I was reading through the blog and saw that I haven't updated you with September results so far.

From 1st to the 13th of September (not even two weeks) I've have ten sign ups. Some on my front level and some on my team members levels (congratulations to those team members). With the new mailer brought on the 13th I will see if I can't double the result for September and have at least 20 sign ups for the month).

Each month I've been challenging myself to have a better month than the month before. I've come close to reaching the GDI leaders board. I'm sure it is just a matter of time. You can be sure I will brag when I reach this goal.

It has to be affordable
With the general masses experiencing ever higher expenses and demands on the family budget thanks to increasing petrol and foods prices one of the most important things for a new business is it has to be within the ability of 99.9% of people to join. Nearly half of my front line have experienced growth, some on multiple levels. To these members I offer my congratulations. Be happy with your success and then set yourself new goals. Building your GDI site with the site builder.

I've had a couple of emails from people wanting to build their new Global Domains International website but don't know how to start. There is loads of advice at the GDI forum on how to build your new GDI site but here is some advice here.

I took me a couple of days to really get to grips with the site builder. Think of it like a word processor - like Microsoft word - except you are only allowed paragraphs of 2000 characters per block.

Go to your back office - click on domains tab on the left.

Click on DNS setting - site builder

Click on left create new page - do this 10 times, which creates 10 pages (it doesn't matter if you only want a couple of pages to start off with you can choose which pages are displayed later - just create 10 now)

You will see properties, additional properties, visible, publish, etc. Also when you enter each page you will see above - page properties, additional page properties - this is where you choose the template, the title, etc, add page URL and keywords.

Hit the add content button - top left. Insert a bunch of placeholders (at least 8) - i.e. Empty placeholders

- Insert a blank content block to create your desired spacing or to simply provide a placeholder. Top option after hitting add content button - later you will have a play with some of the others.

Open a block by hitting edit on your new placeholders (I work from the first and skip every second one which keeps the blocks in the right place) - you will see three tabs on the bottom - design, HTML and Preview.

Work out of the design page and use it just like a word document - type in your plain text first (keep it short it doesn't take long to go over 2000 characters) - go back over the text changing color, size and font as you want. Import your photos, flash files whatever - the best way to do this is go to the gallery and load up every photo you want to use first - its a bit slow but once they are in the gallery they are easy to import.

You don't even have to be a web designer to be successful with Global Domains International - the most successful GDI person I now - Marty Orcutt - over $12,000 a month doesn't even have a website - he left his on the default setting that goes straight to the invite pages so he has proven you can grow this business with or without a website.

August has been a great month for Global Domains International. I've not only seen growth in my 1st level or front line - I've also had good growth in both the 2nd and 3th levels. So now not only am I making money, but those below me are making money as well. If you keep growing your front line you will start to see the power of network marketing. Place in a number of placeholders. If you don't use them you can always delete them later. Remember you can only have two thousand characters per placeholder. For large pages just simply create more placeholders.

Above the page is a number of options - very simple - font, text size, text colour, import photo (you will be required to upload the file to your gallery first - do this by simply uploading the picture file off your desktop), and a button to add URL link. These are the major buttons to build your website. Its easiest to just type your text first and then highlight the portions you want to change the size, color, bold, underline, etc.

The add URL link button is easy to use just click and highlight the text you want to add a URL link to and a box with come up with the link - type in your link http://www.mygreatsite.ws. Although your website comes with tabs it can be handy to put a link to the next page at the bottom of your page (i.e. NEXT PAGE - highlight it and add a URL link - http://www.yoursitename.ws/page2.html - only the 'NEXT PAGE' will be display but when you click on it, it will take the reader to the next page. If you want to get really fancy include page numbers and a link to each page - though this is more time consuming to do and I want my visitors to go from page to page in a specific order).

Within the editor you can also edit the 'properties' and 'additional properties' of the page. This includes title, page title, meta tags, and page description - all of which helps with search engine optimisation.

Advertising Global Domains International on a Budget

Although I'm a fair writer of articles myself I am smart enough to make sure I read lots of other smart peoples ideas as well. Karen Bell another Global Domains International enthusiast writes .....

Just like most people I watched the video and was instantly hooked. A home business that didn't really require any real "business". Just do what you do everyday, recommend something that you found useful or helpful. Now You probably did it countless times this month, telling friends about a great movie or restaurant. Did anybody cut you a check ?

So after hearing this and thinking about it, I said why not i'll give it a try for a month and see how it goes. I figured even if it sucks and I can't get get one person, I at least have a website and domain name for ten bucks a month.

Signing up was easy and straight-forward, I like that because this means it's easier to convert visitors. I picked a domain name that was keyword friendly and focuses on the topic of my site, I recommend you do the same (helps in search engines). Next, I started to build my site, I already had a site that I wanted to put up. If I didn't gdi provides about fifty professional templates that I could have used for free.

Next, I decided to start working on promoting GDI, this being the reason that I started in the first place. I began promoting a few days after signing up. I started with safelist, which brought a few leads but no signups. Looking back I made the mistake of not using contact solo ads to safelist. These are the most effective for safelist, I use them myself every now and then still. Then, I tried traffic exchanges. They resulted in a whole lot of hits but once again no signups! I was starting to doubt this “automated” system that GDI claimed to have in place.

Struggling to understand how all of these people that were claiming to make fortunes did it, I started reading the forums. I found a bunch of ads that some of the GDI professionals used and were proven. I was surprised how friendly the “heavy-hitters” were, always answering my questions and helping me get off to a good start.

I read that ezine advertising was one of the best ways to generate leads and signups so I decided to give it a try. I tried one of those ad-coops where I spent $10 and they put my classified ad in like twenty ezines. The results wasn't what I was expecting, since the ad was supposedly sent to 160k subscribers and I ended up with a few leads and one signup.

Almost feeling discouraged and thinking about writing this off as a failure, I decided to run one more ad. This time I placed a contact solo using one of the professional ads that I got from the forums. The response was great, I had over twenty leads and six signups from one ad! Without saying, this brought my confidence in the program back. I finally figured out the secret to advertising this program, ezine contact solos but these are kind of expensive so I had to find a cheaper way of making money with this program. Now, it's been about a month and a half and I have around 25 people in my downline that I directly sponsored, and once they start recruiting my downline will explode. What is the potential of this opportunity? I will seek to answer these questions as objectively as possible.

Scam!?
If you have come to this article you are probably already considering whether GDI is a serious business opportunity or a scam! To determine if GDI is a scam the first question one must ask is are they marketing a worthwhile product or service or are they just another MLM or pyramid designed to take your money without giving you anything other than promises of great rewards and riches? The answer yes they have a genuine product/ service. In this case web hosting.

The Service Outlined
They provide a web hosting service. It is true you can get free website hosting on the net, in fact this very article is an example of a free web host and you can get good results from them, but there are a number of things you sacrifice.

Firstly if you are using a free web host provider there is always some form of cost, normally they require you to carry free ads on your site. (web1000 is an exception but you can't even put banners on it and its editor is painful to use).

While having ads on your website at first this may not seem to be a problem, consider this, if you want this site to be your main business portal and hub, you may end up advertising your biggest competitor, not a smart move. The other great advantage is the ability to choose a domain name. Most of the good .com names are long since gone. Further in the case of many of the other endings like .au, .us, .uk, etc many companies exist solely in buying up the best domain names to make a killing selling them to someone else at highly inflated prices. GDI with the .ws avoids this pitfall by ensuring the domain name is not sold as a separate entity, but only with the web hosting service. If GDI wants to grow further they will need to look at offering reasonable upgrade packages for the bigger players.

It has the potential to be a good source of income as each person you bring in gets you $1 a month. Not a huge amount really, you would need 10 people just to pay for you hosting fee, but the winner here its that you get a $1 for each person they introduce down to five levels, the power to leverage the work of those below you is what appeals here. That can result in some good returns. You won't become a millionaire over night, but you can have a great income stream.

You might be thinking, I'm too late and missed the GDI wave. No I don't think so, not at this time this article is written. GDI members now are in the tens of thousands, not until its reaches 100's of millions will the wave subside. I don't think new customers will ever complete dry up either, because each year more and more tech. savvy students finish school, and they brought up to believe they each need their own modern gadgets, including mobile phones, e-mailing, and even their own personal website. I'm waiting for the day you no longer send in a resume into a prospective employer but just give them your web address and they can look up your life themselves. Thus I think the potential of GDI is long term, yes after the initial wave there will be an eventual slowing - there is no such thing as an infinite possibility - there are 6 Billion people on the planet, once the majority of them is a customer you have reach the finite limit. Any company unless they have plans to further develop a service or introduce new products knows a market does reach a saturation point where growth slows. Not so good for an MLM company as their customers are also their business partners. Any MLM that wants to succeed must either sell a product the needs replacement over time - i.e. tupperware (where did I leave that lid, oh well time to another party and order another), or offer new services or products to the same down lines.

There are numerous ways to advertise GDI online. I myself am no great sales person. I hate cold calling, I hate door knocking, I hate feeling like I am invading someone personal space or coming across as pushy. That's why I love internet advertising. The buyer is in total control, no pushie sales person, don't like the sales pitch go to another site. There are several program set up to advertise GDI for you, programs like turbo GDI and Hits2U, both are cost effective.

In summary, if you need a web host, GDI is a option, particularly in relation to Domain names, if you don't need a web host and don't know someone else who does then its probably not for you.

Eventually once you’ve been online for awhile you’ll get involved in numerous different ventures, affiliate marketing, Google revenue, direct selling, e-books, and the list goes on. But for the first time newbie to the internet they often wonder where they should start. No doubt I would get numerous arguments from hundreds of people saying that one should join this program or that program. All I can say in response is what I did and why.

One of the first things you are going to need once you start an online business is a website. At first I used free hosting providers like blogger and others. The main problem I encounter with these was that I did not have ownership of the site or necessarily have the domain name I wanted, further I was limited in what HTML I could display. I was limited to their particular templates or could only have one page. Worse still, in the case of most free website providers, I had to display their ads, not the smartest thing to do when you start advertising your competitors at the very advent of your project or company.

One thing you want to establish straight away with a website is your own brand recognition. You will want a brand name people will remember that is unique to you, this includes having a domain name that matches your brand name. You may end up with multiple sites, but you want them connected into one main portal with one main brand. Although I now have an article directory, numerous blogs, websites, etc, I still have one main portal site that connects them all together (helps me to remember as well). This is my -ws site. With .com, .us, endings etc many companies hoard domain names solely for the purpose of selling them at highly inflated prices to the next poor sap. Second it was relatively cheap $10 a month for hosting (two coffees can cost you more!) (100 megabytes if you choose not use their editor and want a site bigger than 10 pages). Now there are cheaper providers available with greater file server space ($4.95 for 50 Gigabytes), but in order to run these you have to know a bit about HTML, Java, or have your own script or spend a lot of time on the phone or online chat with IT support to get your site running properly – not recommended for the novice. Plus these do not give you your first online MLM business opportunity. I also found the 10 e-mail addresses Global Domains International provided very useful – one for each member of the family and a couple of spare to give out to the possible spam source sites. There are many other things I found useful about Global Domain International but most of these are beyond the first time novice internet entrepreneur, I also won’t speak further on the business opportunity as there is a 7 minute movie that does that. What I will say that you can make money with a GDI website without sponsoring a single person into your downline. My site pays for itself and its $10 a month hosting cost through its Google revenue and affiliate promotions, so really I get the website for nothing. Sponsoring people is just an added bonus which introduce me to new online business partners and gives me a nice bonus income. For the MLM gurus this may be their goal I know of individuals who introduced 800 people personally and have a dowline of 12,000 people – that’s a nice income of $12,000 a month. But for us non-MLM gurus, I suggest first buy a product for the product namely a website and host provider.
